Youth Encouraging Sustainability

An Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre project

In conjunction with the Science Council of Manitoba, the Interpretive Centre assists with the development and delivery of the Youth Encouraging Sustainability Project (YES).

The project is an initiative of the Science Council Manitoba. An annual sustainability showcase and competition is held in May and the Interpretive Centre serves on the organizing committee, co-ordinates the facilities, provides bilingual judges, and hosts the annual Showcase of Projects.

Projects in the showcase and competition feature, reward, and foster teacher/student initiatives  that focus on sustainable management strategies for the environment, the health of society and the economy.
