Red River and You Educator Workshops
Introducing teachers to watershed education with the help of Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre.
Red River and You, a program of the Red River Centre for Watershed Education, helps educators understand and incorporate Red River of the North Watershed Education activities into their learning outcomes. The program is delivered in Manitoba by the Oak Hammock Marsh Interpretive Centre.
Connecting teachers with watershed education resources, Red River and You:
- Expands knowledge, skills and motivation of teachers and educators to teach about our local watershed and its importance in the science, history, geography and cultural aspects of the Red River Valley.
- Enhances creative thinking and problem-solving skills while discovering the value of the Red River Basin in sustaining human culture.
- Connects teachers with other educators from Minnesota, Manitoba and North Dakota who live and teach in the Red River watershed.
- Encourages fun while learning.
